Is Visiting A GP Free Under Medicare?

*South Australia*

If i where to jump to the GP for like a check up do i own to pay if i hold medicare? And what would be the process of doing this? Do ijust give them the card and teem things out?

Answers:    From Australia. It depends on the Doctor. You may find a GP who "bulk bills". This means that you payment nothing (Just lift your medicare card with you). Other Doctors seize you to pay the tax and then you sign a form and Medicare refund part of that charge to your bank portrayal or posts you a check. It's very glib - just help yourself to the card in next to you and the Doctors receptionist will explain.
its free in scotland
