Does Aspartame Cause Depression, Insomnia, Hyperactivity, and Mood Swings?

The chemicals in aspartame block average serotonin production in the brain. Serotonin is the brain chemical made from tryptophan (outlawed in the USA by the FDA). Proper serotonin production during daylight stimulates the respective production of melatonin during the nighttime, which secure reflective sleep.

In 1971, Mary Coleman, MD documented that the average concentrations of serotonin in the blood platelets of hyperactive children be lower than contained by children smaller quantity busy. Hyperactivity lessen as serotonin level rise.

Serotonin level are commonly lower within depressed individuals than in those who are not. The body get serotonin (and tryptophan) from a in shape diet. Aspartame suppresses serotonin, so a diet wet through near aspartame creates an environment for depression, sleep disorders, hyperactivity and sever mood swings.

FYI: The accumulation of vitamin B6 can backing lift up serotonin level.

Not sure..but it IS objectionable stuff!
Yes...There are several places where on earth this is debate, but one of the most comprehensive studies I found thru the herbology/alchemist sites.

I quit using aspartame after 25 + years, and hold a definite difference. Also, as you may make out it have slowly be removed from abundant of the products which used to hold it within everything.
good question
i enjoy sugar so when contained by the hospital they sent a dietitian to me,it can end in depression plus using to much can raison d`¨ştre memory lost, i be told to use small amount of sugar. well brought-up luck
Yes I have hear almost this, so read it below:
Discovered contained by 1965, aspartame is a low-calorie sweetener specifically used within more than 5,000 products worldwide, including tabletop sweeteners, many foods and carbonated beverages. Because aspartame is up to 200 times sweeter than sugar, awfully little aspartame is inevitability for the desired sweetness.

Aspartame is made from two amino acids, or protein components, aspartic acid and phenylalanine. Aspartic acid and phenylalanine are building blocks of protein that are found in adjectives protein-containing foods, including meat, grain, and dairy products. Aspartame is made when these two amino acids are aligned and a methyl group is added. This methyl group breaks down during digestion and forms methanol. Methanol is found easily within the body and contained by various foods such as fruit and vegetable juice. The body metabolizes the amino acids in aspartame like peas in a pod as those from other protein-containing foods.
